RT-52 CAS :6334-25-4 is a crosslinking curing agent for thermoplastic solid powder coatings. The product is low toxicity, no irritation to the eyes and skin, and is regarded as a green environmental protection product. Precautions for use

1. Matching problem with polyester resin

Due to the faster reactivity of RT-52, it is not suitable to use the traditional TGIC solidified polyester, and the special polyester of RT-52 should be selected.

2. Pinhole and yellowing resistance of the coating film

When RT-52 is cured with polyester, water molecules are produced, and the surface of the film is easy to produce pinholes and other defects. Ordinary polyester is not suitable for thick coating of more than 100μm. In addition, adding about 0.5% degassing agent to the formulation can achieve the effect of inhibiting the film pinholes. Considering the effect of benzoin on the yellowing of the film, the amount of benzoin is controlled at about 0.3% of the total film forming material, and the amount of use is minimized. When producing white or light-colored powder, the antioxidant of about 0.5% is added to the formula, which can improve the yellowing resistance of the film.

3, powder moisture absorption powder problem

Since RT-52 is a hydrophilic compound, storage and preparation of powder coating storage, should pay attention to waterproof, moisture-proof. The powder is not good after moisture absorption, and the adhesion of the film is poor.
